There are lots of quick weekend getaways close to your Newnan car dealership. If you are looking for something fun, family-friendly, and educational, take a trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. This city is the fourth largest city in the state of Tennessee.

Some of their top attractions include the Tennessee Aquarium, Lookout Mountain and Rock City. If you have never seen these attractions, you have no idea what you are missing out on.

The Tennessee Aquarium holds over 10,000 animals and an educational center. Discover various fish species, shark, aquatic mammals, and lots more. There is also an IMAX 3D movie theater that is six stories tall. This aquarium was rated a FamilyFun Top 10 attraction in 2013. Tickets are $24.95 for adults and $14.95 for children between the ages of three and twelve.

Rock City is one of the most amazing and fascinating attractions around. It is part of Lookout Mountain which is just a few miles from Chattanooga city center. Massive rock formations overlook the surrounding area. At the top of the overlook, you can see the famous “See 7 States” in a stunning panoramic view. The states you can see are Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina and Virginia. Tickets for this amazing and one-of-a-kind attraction are just $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for children between three and twelve.

A hidden treasure in Chattanooga sits on an 80-foot bluff which overlooks the Tennessee River. The Hunter Museum of American Art offers a collection so exceptional that it is considered some of America’s finest. There are paintings, sculptures, furniture and lots more that the entire family is sure to enjoy. Some of the artists on display here are Andy Warhol, Thomas Cole, Robert Henri and Helen Frankenthaler. Tickets are just $9.95 per adult and $4.95 per child age three to seventeen.

One last stunning attraction is the Raccoon Mountain Caverns. This is the state’s highest rated cave site and you can pan gemstones, tour the area and even camp out here. Tickets are just $14.95 per adult and $6.95 per child ages five to twelve. If you are looking for a trip that leaves everyone spellbound, Chattanooga is it.
