The Cyclorama is a tribute to The Battle of Atlanta fought during the Civil War. Located in Grant Park, it is a magnificent panorama depicting in intricate detail the happenings of that battle. Visit the Civil War Museum to see authentic artifacts.

Zoo Atlanta is a great way to spend the day observing mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. The zoo also has an impressive area dedicated to plants and horticulture such as the carnivorous plant exhibit.

Take a guided or self-guided tour of Oakland Cemetery established in 1850 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The beautiful grounds and gardens are filled with exquisite monuments, mausoleums, stained glass, bronze urns and stunning sculptures such as the Lion of the Confederacy.

Schedule a walking tour of Underground Atlanta and learn about this interesting area and its 100 year history. Dine, shop or enjoy one of the scheduled exhibits or events. Underground is one of the leading attractions and is located in the heart of downtown.

Before leaving the downtown area, stop in at The Varsity, touted as the World’s Largest Drive In.” Since 1928, the iconic restaurant has been serving the best chili cheese dogs, fresh fries and onion rings, peach pies and frosted orange drinks in town.  Also consider visiting the Atlanta Botanic Garden, World of Coca Cola, CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium.
