Atlanta Botanical Garden Test Drive

The team over at SouthTowne Motors wants to tell you about a fun and exciting event happening at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this month. It’s an Ogre-tober month featuring the aptly named Fest-of-Ale event every Thursday from 5pm until 10pm in October. This amazing event is sponsored by Cadillac and there are dozens and dozens of specialty beers to try during the season. There is live bluegrass music and other activities during this weekly gathering.

Arts and Ales will be presented on October 17 where you will be able to find wood works, pottery, jewelry and more from regional and local artists. You can enjoy a beer while browsing through booths from Just Add Honey, Phil Scales, Lainey Papageorge and more. There will even be a pumpkin carving contest by 6 great local chefs from Atlanta on October 24. A few of the chefs include; Victor Dagatan, Tony Alberto, Andrew Miller and Max LeBlanc. After the judging is over by John Kessler, the pumpkins will be sold in a silent auction to benefit the Gardens.

Also during the month, join Ogre and stroll through the 19 living sculptures in Imaginary Worlds. The sculptures include gigantic cobras, rabbits, butterflies and more. The biggest and most enchanting piece they have is a 25 foot goddess emerging from the ground who greets you at Cascade Garden. There are also over 100 scarecrows uniquely crafted throughout the gardens.

Cadillac will have a few different vehicles on display throughout this event with product specialists on site to answer any brand or vehicle questions. They are additionally running a test drive for a garden membership program. Each guest that is interested in this program is given a plantable seed card with a unique code. Simply visit a participating Cadillac dealership, hand them the card with code and then test drive one of their new vehicles. After the test drive, you are given a dual 12-month membership to the gardens and are returned the card.

The best part is, you can now plant the card at home for a beautiful annual and perennial wildflower garden. Visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this month and be prepared for beauty galore and some mind-blowing sculptures. Remember to visit SouthTowne Motors for your Cadillac test drive.
