Atlanta Car dealer’s secret to a quick license plate change

There are a lot of reasons why you may need to change your license plates. Maybe you’ve bought a new car in Atlanta or recently moved here. Or you could just be wanting to install some custom license plates. Regardless of the reason, it’s good to know how to do this quick and easy task. All you’ll need is a Phillips screwdriver, the new plates (with the correct sticker tags) and about five minutes.

First you’ll need to take off the four screws that hold the current license plate to your vehicle. Make you sure you set these screws somewhere where you won’t lose them. Once you’ve unscrewed the plate, go ahead and remove it. Some people like to keep their old plates, while others will just throw them away. It’s totally up to you. Before installing the new plate, go ahead and wipe down the plate with a damn paper towel so you’ll have a nice, clean surface to put the new one on.

After you’ve cleaned the mounting pad area, go ahead and grab your new plate. Align the four holes in the plate with the screws and start with the top right. Once you’ve screwed it in, make sure the rest of the holes are still aligned. Now screw in the bottom left. Once you have the first two screws in, the rest of the holes should be aligned and you can go head and finish up with the other two. And there you have it, Atlanta! New plates installed in just five minutes. Don’t’ forget to put any corresponding stickers on the plate in the bottom right corner before you take off, though!
