As much as your Atlanta GM dealer, The Southtowne General Motors Superstore wants to celebrate the 4th of July with family, friends, fireworks and an open grill, we must never forget the true spirit of the holiday. Of course we celebrate the holiday with all of those things, but what does it mean to truly be free? What did our country have to endure in its very early existence? Those are the questions you should ask yourself this Wednesday, the 4th. Then ask yourself how you can contribute to the growth of the America we know today.

Is it buying American, like a General Motors vehicle? Can you directly support your country by making your next car a Buick, Cadillac, GMC or Chevrolet? Yes you can. Why ship jobs and money to overseas vendors and manufacturers when we make some of the best automobiles right here in the good ol’ US of A?A question I don’t think we’ve answered yet.

It’s easy to become complacent with our Country, after all She affords us a life and liberties that many people of foreign nations can not even fathom, let alone enjoy. Be thankful for where you live. Be thankful for those who protect where you live. But most of all be thankful that in 1776 five men drew up what we know as our Declaration of Independence from British rule hence shaping our future as one of the greatest nations on the planet.
