Buick News

Back in May of this year, Buick celebrated its 110th year of building their modern luxury vehicles.Buick was founded 1903 by David Dunbar Buick who was a businessman and former plumbing inventor from Scotland. The very first model offered to the public in 1904 was the Buick Model B. These early Buicks were built to resemble a living room and, as such, were called the “moving couch of America”. Today, Buick offers a wide range of luxury vehicles including the Verano and LaCrosse sedans as well as the Encore and Enclave crossovers.

Just this month, the 2013 Encore received the 2013 Top Safety Pick award for its commitment to safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This honor is only awarded to cars that meet certain criteria. To qualify, the vehicle must earn good ratings in side impact, rollover, rear and moderate overlap frontal tests. It also received a 5-star overall rating from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). This is not the only Buick model with this designation. The Verano, LaCrosse, Regal and Enclave all share this 5-star overall rating.

Also this past month, Buick posted that their sales have gone up 9.9% since May of 2012. The Enclave has been their best-selling model since 2007 with a huge demand for their premium trim models. The Verano also saw its best sales in May with a 9.4% increase over last year.

Two weeks ago, the company released that any customers who purchase or lease an eligible new 2014 Buick, GM or Chevrolet will be covered by a newly designed maintenance package, including certain services, for 2 years or 24,000 miles. Additionally, every 2014 Buick model will be offered a suite of active safety systems that watch the back, front and sides of the vehicle to help prevent crashes.

Your local Atlanta Buick dealer has all of these wonderful cars with superb features and high ratings. So stop on in and check them out for yourself!
