Easter Events in Newnan

There are lots of fun-filled activities and events happening in your neck of the woods this year for Easter. Celebrate this spring holiday with massive egg hunts, egg decorating, brunch with the Easter Bunny, and so much more. If you’ll be traveling around the Atlanta metro area in your Newnan Chevy, there is something to do around every corner for this weekend.

Right in the thick of Newnan sits the Serenbe Playhouse and this year they are hosting their Annual Family Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19. At 11:30am, join the stars of their adaptation of The Wizard of Oz as you hunt for eggs and treats around the lawn. There will be activities for the children such as face painting, pony rides, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Admission is $5 per child. This will be one Easter you won’t soon forget.

Also on Saturday, April 19, will be the Eggstravaganza held at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta. This has been a family favorite for many years and features thousands of prize-filled eggs. There are even three golden prize eggs for lucky children. Baked goods will be for sale and there will be lots of arts and crafts, as well as carnival games, face painting, and a cake walk. So be sure to bring your basket for a fun-filled morning that all can enjoy.

The Mount Paran Church EggFest at the Lovett School will be held on April 19. This will not only have the usual egg hunt, but will also include bounce houses, games, and food galore. Prizes and giveaways will be handed out in the three different age groups. Admission is free, so there is no excuse to join in the fun.

We know that all of that egg hunting has made you hungry. There are several restaurants in the area that are having brunch specials on Easter Sunday. One of them is Ray’s on the River where you can delight in an award-winning buffet anytime from 9am until 8pm and also meet the Easter Bunny. There will also be a photo booth provided by Shutterbooth where you can capture the day with your family and friends. It is strongly advised that you call ahead for preferred seating, but it is not required.

Enjoy these wonderful outdoor egg-hunting events this Easter. From the SouthTowne family to yours, have a safe and Happy Easter.
