Hitting the Road for Father’s Day

With Father’s Day coming up fast, you may be scrambling to find something he will like. If you haven’t already purchased a gift for Dad, we have a few options of ideas. These aren’t the typical ‘World’s Best Dad’ shirts or coffee mugs with his picture. They aren’t even tool sets and boring neckties. We are talking about taking Dad on a road trip for the weekend. There are lots of awesome places to take him and so why not load up your Newnan Chevy and have an incredible weekend with your father? Here are some ideas.

Is your father a fan of flying or aviation? Has he ever dreamed of being a pilot? If so, we have the perfect place for you to go with him. Paragon Flight, located in Florida, is an FAA-approved flight school. They will have Dad up the air in no time and taking in scenic views of the Sunshine State. He will also learn some of their pilot jargon and feel like a real pilot. Help Dad’s dreams take flight this year by purchasing his admission to this stellar flight training center.

Food is a way to keep our bodies nourished. It’s something we must have in order to survive. But for some Dad’s, food is more than that. It is an art. It is something of a creative process that must be savored. If your Dad is a foodie, then there’s no better place to take him than New Orleans. This area serves up some of the best in gourmet food. One such place to take note of is 8 Block Kitchen and Bar located within the Hyatt Regency hotel. They offer an award-winning buffet for both breakfast and lunch. They have a fried oyster eggs Benedict that he must try along with New Orleans beignets.

For the adventurous Dad, take him across country for a little rock climbing or mountain biking in Moab, Utah. This city is the rock climbing capital of the United States. The most popular attraction for climbers here is Wall Street which is a cliff made of sandstone that runs along the Colorado River. After a day of thrills, relax for a meal at the Sorrel River Ranch. We hope you have a fun, safe and Happy Father’s Day from your friends at SouthTowne Motors.
