June Events

Summer is a time for friends and family to come together. What better way to do this than with a family-friendly event or activity near your Newnan car dealer? Here’s what happening around you. Home Depot’s Kids Workshop for ages 5-11 at the Senoia Library will be on Monday, June 2, from 2-3pm. This program is to help children learn about different tools and how to work with them. They then use the tools to create a fun project that they can then take home. Registration is required for this event. Please contact the Senoia Library for registration details.

Bring the kids for Weird Science Wednesdays starting Wednesday, June 4, from 1-2pm. This event is suitable for children 5-11 years of age. Registration is required and classes are limited to only 20 students. During this class, students will explore one fun scientific principle weekly. They will learn how to make a soda explode, to a tornado in a bottle and many more fun activities.

Newnan invites you to celebrate National Donut Day on June 6. This happens to fall on the first Friday of June starting at 6pm. Downtown Newnan comes to life after 5 on each Friday of every month. Families and guests can take advantage of special shopping discounts after normal business hours along with live entertainment and exceptional dining at downtown restaurants. If you have a Krispy Kreme near you, go grab a free donut on this day as well.

June 7 is Newman’s 3rd annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser. This Odyssey Charter School fundraiser will be taking place at Ashley Park from 10am until 2pm. This event gives children of every age a unique opportunity to explore by touching a variety of vehicles. There will be over 40 different vehicles for this year’s event. Some of these vehicles include racing cars, oil trucks, tow trucks, tractors, limos, fire trucks, and police cars. Also taking place at the event will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive. Admission to the event is free for children 2 and under. All other ages are $3 per person. If you bring a canned food item, you will receive $1 off. All military, fire, and police vehicles will be free to explore and touch. Proceeds from Touch-A-Truck provide events for the school programs and to purchase other items that are not included within the school’s budget.

Enjoy the summer from your friends at SouthTowne Motors.
