Memorial Day Weekend in Atlanta

Atlanta is known for its thriving shows, great entertainment, and family-fun events. With Memorial Day right around the corner, Atlanta is preparing for a plethora of events. Let the amazing staff over at SouthTowne Motors shed some light on upcoming activities for this holiday weekend.

Enjoy the invigorating music this Memorial Day at the Atlanta Jazz Festival at Piedmont Park. This annual festival is one of the Country’s biggest free jazz festivals. This year it will take place from Friday, May 23, through Sunday, May 25, and will be a hit. It will showcase some of the best performers from around the world and they are expecting an attendance of 150,000 guests.

Summer vacation is here and Lanier Island is kicking it off with a bang. This Memorial Weekend Celebration will include live music and lots of firework shows. Prepare for a fun day with the sunshine on your face, the sand in-between your toes and the refreshing breeze coming off Lake Lanier. There will also be over a dozen waterslides, carnival rides, beach volleyball, mini-golf and many more family-oriented activities. This four-day Memorial Day kick-off celebration will be the perfect start to an amazing summer.

Spend your Memorial Day at Callaway Gardens. Start the summer off with a splash with the 55th Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament. Kids will love the Rock Climbing Wall, Bounce House and Spider Jump. Various bands will be playing nightly, including live music from the Chris Collins Band, The Regulars, and Secret Sauce. Salute The Troops this Memorial Day Weekend as Stone Mountain Park will be honoring all of our troops and their families in a three-day celebration of the American spirit. This will be one of Atlanta’s largest Memorial Day celebrations.
