S’more Recipes

Everyone loves the classic S’mores campfire treat. There’s something about the warm, gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate sandwiched between two toasty graham crackers that leaves you feeling nostalgic. If you feel you’ve outgrown the classic S’mores, why not try a twist on the recipe? Your Newnan car dealer has a few for you to try.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Lovers S’mores

Using creamy peanut butter, spread 1 tablespoon onto a thin Nabisco Chocolate wafer. It’s better to use the peanut butter at room temperature so it’s easiest to work with. Roast a jumbo marshmallow over the campfire until golden brown and slide it onto your peanut buttered wafer. Top with second wafer and smoosh together gently.

We all have been there before. Finally getting to the campsite, unloading and going to get the campfire started, but then the weather kicks up and it starts to rain. Have no fear, you can still enjoy a delicious s’mores treat mason jar style if you’re traveling with your RV. Just follow this easy recipe for a family of four.

Mason Jar S’mores

  • 4 tablespoons graham crackers crumbs
  • 1 pack of 4 chocolate puddings
  • Marshmallow fluff
  • Four small 4 ounce mason jars

In each mason jar, add one tablespoon of graham cracker crumbs. Open chocolate pudding cups and add contents to the jars. Top the pudding with marshmallow fluff making sure to cover the pudding with enough to reach the top. Using your RV’s oven, do a quick broil so your marshmallow fluff starts to turn brown. Have the kids pick out their favorite movie, sit down and enjoy your s’mores in a jar together as a family.

Salted Carmel Bacon S’mores

  • Graham crackers
  • Bacon
  • Jumbo marshmallows
  • Carmel ghirardelli squares

Over a campfire in a skillet, cook your bacon until its extra crispy. Lay them on paper towels to let the grease run off. Now roast your marshmallow to your liking. Once finished, open a ghirardelli caramel square and place on a graham cracker. Add the crispy bacon and now you’re ready for the marshmallow. Slide it onto the graham cracker and gently press it all together. Now you’re ready to tantalize your taste buds with a sweet and salty combination that will have you cooking another one in moments.

We hope you enjoy these tasty versions from your friends at SouthTowne Motors.

Spring Auto Care Tips

It’s been a long and cold winter across the country — even here in Georgia — and that means you probably didn’t care as much for your vehicle as you would in warmer months. With warmer weather on the horizon, it’s time to prepare your vehicle for all of the road trips and adventures spring has in store.

Wash the Exterior

Ice, mud, salt and snow can do a lot of damage on your vehicle’s exterior. Now that it’s getting warmer, you’ll need to thoroughly hand wash your vehicle to clear away all of the winter time road grime. To maintain your vehicle’s rust-free exterior, hand wash it every two to three weeks.

Detail the Interior

All of the salt and mud that’s affecting the exterior of your vehicle was probably dragged inside on the bottom of your shoes. Use a stiff brush on your mats and soft interior fabrics (not leather) to bring those dirt particles to the surface, then vacuum them away.

Change the Oil

Winter makes us all a little lethargic, and that means even some of the smallest maintenance chores go unfinished. Bring your vehicle by SouthTowne Motors for an oil change and tune up this spring to help keep your engine clean and properly lubricated. Keeping what’s under the hood of your vehicle in top condition is far more important than the outside, so be sure to change your oil roughly every 3,000 miles.

Check Your Wiper Blades

The cold winter elements can do a number on your wiper blades, and when you try to use them in the spring rain, you may notice they’ve gotten brittle over the past few month. This low-cost finish to your vehicle’s exterior is a small touch that can help you get where you’re going safely.

Here at SouthTowne Motors, your local Atlanta car dealership, we offer all of the services you need to keep your Atlanta car in top shape and have it shining like new this spring. Decorating Your Car

For any die hard Christmas junkie, decorating your Chevy car or truck only makes sense. Decorating one’s car is rapidly growing in popularity for all those people who really love celebrating this festive time of year. If you want to decorate your vehicle but are not sure on how to go about it, here are a few ideas to get you started for the holiday season.

Is your favorite Christmas character Rudolph and his wonderful red nose that saved Christmas? Well if so, you’re in luck and your car can be your own person Rudolph. There are many Rudolph car kits that are sold that come with a red nose and two antlers. The nose is easily attached to the front of your car’s grill and the antlers hook over the sides of each window which transforms your car into your own person Rudolph.

It almost sounds completely unbelievable that now you can even have Christmas lights in your vehicle. These Christmas lights plug easily into your cigarette lighter and you then attach them to the windows in your car by adding suction cups. As a safety precaution, make sure to test out your lights before you go driving around town with them on. You don’t want them to be a distraction to both you and the other drivers on the road.

Window markers can be used to write on car windows and other surfaces and are easily removed afterwards. They come in an assortment of colors so try picking up a few festive ones such as green, red, and white. You can write Merry Christmas on the back of your car window along with drawing holiday pictures such as a snowman, a few Christmas trees, Santa and even Rudolph. Just make sure while drawing out your winter wonderland that it isn’t interfering. Be sure you can still see while driving. Safety should always be your number one concern while decorating your car for the holidays.

You can even add a few ornaments inside your car by hanging them inside with suction cups or even hang one or two on each of the hanger hooks you have already inside your car. Just refrain from using glass ornaments in case one happens to fall.

Happy Holidays from your friends at SouthTowne Motors.
