No matter where you are in Georgia, you can find a nearby Veterans Day parade to help celebrate the sacrifice our veterans gave for the freedoms we enjoy. Choose to attend parades in Augusta, Lakeland, Williamson, Dalton, Manchester, Dallas, Atlanta and Valdosta among other cities.

Before you head out, be sure to stop by SouthTowne Buick Cadillac Chevrolet GMC in Newman to have your vehicle serviced or to complete maintenance if it’s time for regularly scheduled maintenance.

CSRA-Augusta Annual Veterans Day Parade

The Augusta parade starts at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center at the corners of 13th and Green Streets. You’ll see the Commanding General of Ft. Gordon, the Armed Forces Color Guard, local high school bands, the Army Band and Army Battalion marching, veteran and civic groups, JROTC units and plenty of floats and your elected officials.

Dalton Veterans Day Parade

The Dalton parade will start at 10:00 a.m. at Thornton Boulevard at Waugh Street and end at Harmon Field at noon. After the parade, there will be a lunch and awards at the American Legion Post 112. You can even join in the parade – and you do not have to be a veteran to take part. For more information, call (706) 259-0072.

Manchester Veterans Day Parade

The Manchester Veterans Day Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. at 405 5th Avenue at the M.H.S. parking lot and ends at 2:00 p.m. This parade is in its 12th year. After the parade, there will be a meet and greet with veterans and families, plus there will be all types of displays. Veterans and their families are welcome for an informal luncheon after the parade.

Veterans Affairs of Dawson County 7th Annual Veterans Day Celebration

The Dawson Celebration starts at 4:00 p.m. at Allen Street and Highway 53 East and ends on Allen Street. All veterans and active military personnel are welcome to participate in the celebration.

Georgia Veterans Day Parade

The Atlanta parade starts at West Peachtree near Pershing Point and runs down Peachtree Street on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:11 a.m.

The theme for our events this year is dedicated to honoring our Korean War Veterans and we anticipate a record number of parade entries and spectators. Please come out and join us in honoring all of Georgia’s Veterans on their special day! This year’s Grand Marshal is Captain Dale Dye, USMC (Ret.). Mr. Dye is an actor, author and film consultant.

Before you head out to the festivities, be sure to stop by SouthTowne for service, vehicle maintenance, to buy or lease a new vehicle – or just to say hello!
